Bangalore Moments

The Medical Education Cell of the Government Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore had organized a one day seminar on Homoeopathic Cardiology on Saturday, 24th October 2009 and invited me as the speaker.Dr.A.L.Patil, the Dean of the institute, inaugurated the seminar.

In the first session, I gave a details overview of the art of case taking, physcian's observations, physical examination and recent investigations in cardiac patients.

The second session was on the vital subject of Atherosclerosis. The entire paraphernalia of this epidemic of 21st century which included the pathophysiology ,clinical features, miasmatic background and homoeopathic management was highlighted. 4 cases of atherosclerosis treated only with homoeopathic medications with documentary evidence before and after treatment were presented.

The third session was on Rheumatic Heart Disease and Congenital Heart diseases, the importance of miasms in C.H.D.’s and scope of homoeopathy in these disorders with cases of Infective Endocarditis, Pulmonary edema in VSD, Primary Pulmonary Hypertension in a Case of Marfans Syndrome and a few others at the department of Homoeopathic cardiology of The National Academy of Homoeopathy, India at Nagpur were presented.

It was a pleasure to interact with a 300 and odd enthusiastic audience who gave me a patient hearing and were promt in asking questions.
